I hope you will enjoy viewing the fine arts tapestries that I have been creating since Rosh Hashanah 5768 (fall of 2007). That’s when I, a weaver since childhood, decided to use this ancient craft to take on the centuries old tradition of making commentaries on Jewish texts – as well as on the engaging, joyous, and at times difficult aspects of Jewish living. As an adult, I have come to study, cherish, and celebrate Judaism in all its richness. My tapestries are woven in a specific time and place, and they are colored by my specific Jewish experience, which is, of course, a tiny and subjective part of the larger Jewish story. In my unfinished, ongoing project, I find inspiration for my weaving in the Jewish religion, history, and culture, and in all that the Jewish experience encompasses.
